As someone committed to supporting personal growth, healing, and transformation, I’ve often found myself facing the tension between the realities of keeping a business afloat — and the desire to ensure that these offerings remain accessible. That tension has grown more palpable over time.

That’s why I’m excited to announce that I’m now adopting a “green bottle” sliding-scale pricing model, inspired by the work of Worts & Cunning Apothecary and their founder Alexis J. Cunningfolk.

I woke up at 3 a.m. a few days ago with this phrase echoing through my head:

Humanity, not strategy.

What the heck does that mean?

At first, I chalked it up to a dream fragment—maybe something leftover from a conversation or podcast. But the words kept circling in my thoughts, nudging me to pay attention. As someone who listens when something persistent shows up, I got curious.

And I realized: these three words are quietly shaping how I move forward.

When I reflect on the way I engage with clients, I am deeply guided by principles that sustain a journey of healing, empowerment, and true embodiment. These are values I hold close—values that align beautifully with the core values of Leslie Reiki.

In preparation to do a relaunch of my business, I’ve started posting more on social media and re-engaging with my loyal clients as well as hoping to reach some new ones. Historically, I have struggled for the consistency necessary to make sure I’m reaching the people who may be most interested in what I have to offer. With the recent lunar eclipse, I’m releasing old stories of what a small business “should” look like. I’m open and receptive to the flow of time, energy, and having more faith that if I show up in authentic ways, my people will be able to find me.

Why do I consider Reiki and Crystal Healing to be an integral part of the energetic services I offer?

As someone who initially intended to be a Marriage and Family Therapist, how did I end up focusing on the energy aspect of services instead? I went through a divorce as I was wrapping my Masters program in Psychology. Everything that I was and hoped to be was completely derailed. I had been in therapy myself and was “supposed” to see the value in talk therapy. What I found instead was if I presented as a nice, people-pleasing, book smart therapy patient, I could talk my way around the underlying issues and not have to truly feel or address ALLTHEPAIN. This isn’t to say that I don’t think therapy can be helpful or that my therapists were wrong. Not at all. I take my share of the responsibility in how I chose to show up.

Every time I swear to myself that I will begin to post on a regular basis, that little voice gets louder and louder. “Who do you think you are to share your thoughts in this manner?” “Why would anyone want to read what you have written?” As most of you know, this is not helpful at all.
